v26.14

We are pleased to share the latest updates and enhancements introduced in Version 26.14. Below are the key features and improvements, along with their respective locations for easy reference.

New Features

Enhancements

1. PDF Preview Option for Document Generation

Location: Available on the search screen of the following documents:

Details:

  • Introduced a Preview option when generating the PDF of the above documents.
  • On clicking the generate action, a Confirm Generation dialog now appears with Preview, Generate, and Discard options.
  • Preview opens the generated PDF in an in-browser viewer without downloading the file, allowing users to verify the document before saving.
  • Generate downloads the PDF as before.
  • Discard cancels the action without generating the document.
  • Document-specific behavior is retained — for example, Supplier PO drafts continue to be labelled and named accordingly, and existing empty-data and error messages remain unchanged.

2. Renamed "Idle Time Admin" and Alphabetized the Operations Menu

Location: Available under Production & Quality → Operations (Idle Time Bulk Update)

Details:

  • The Idle Time Admin menu item has been renamed to Idle Time Bulk Update for clarity. The screen and its functionality remain unchanged.
  • The Operations side-menu items are now listed in alphabetical order, making it easier to locate a screen.

Location: You can access Control Plan under Production & Quality → Masters

Details:

  • On the Control Plan search screen, the column header "Generate CONTROL PLAN" has been shortened to "Generate" for a cleaner layout.

4. Consistent Row Colour for Operator Value on Line Inspection

Location: You can access Line Inspection under Production & Quality → Operations

Details:

  • In the Task Validation Results table, the Operator Value cell no longer shows a blank grey background when it has no value.
  • When an operator value is present, its own status colour is shown; when it is empty, the cell now matches the row colour so the row appears visually consistent.

5. Employee Column Alignment on Eight Disciplines (5D)

Location: You can access Eight Disciplines under Production & Quality → Operations

Details:

  • In the 5D → Containment Action List table, the Employee name is now left-aligned directly under its column header, removing the previous indentation.

6. Created / Modified Audit Info on Master Screens

Location: Available on the following screens:

  • Part (including the Tax and HS Code / Commodity sub-tabs) under Design & Development → Masters
  • RM Part — Part Price / Raw Material Part Price, under Sales → Masters
  • Control Plan — header, Process, Item and Cycle Time lists, under Production & Quality → Masters
  • Bank under Accounts → Masters
  • Item — Product / Item master, under Purchase → Masters

Details:

  • A small clock icon labelled Created / Modified details now appears against each record.
  • Clicking the icon opens a popover showing:
    • Created — the user who created the record, with the date and time.
    • Modified — the user who last modified the record, with the date and time.
  • The icon appears as a column against each row on list screens (e.g. the Control Plan Process, Item and Cycle Time lists) and as a header icon on single-record edit forms.
  • Date and time are shown in the application's display time zone, consistent with other date fields.
  • Clicking the icon does not select the row or expand/collapse the section, and hovering shows a tooltip.

7. Bank Screen – Save Refresh Fix

Location: You can access Bank under Accounts → Masters

Details:

  • Fixed an issue where the Bank screen did not refresh the data and loader after a save. The updated bank details now appear immediately once the record is saved.

8. Instrument Code on Calibration Instrument Selection

Location: Available on Calibration under Calibration → Operations and the Instrument/Gauge search under Calibration → Masters

Details:

  • Multiple instruments can share the same Instrument Name, Type, Range and Make, with only the Instrument Code being unique to each physical instrument.
  • In the Calibration module, the Instrument List dropdown now shows the Instrument Code appended to the instrument name, making it easy to identify and select the correct physical instrument.
  • The Instrument/Gauge search screen now provides an Instrument Code search filter and an Instrument Code column in the results, so users can quickly locate the required instrument.
note

Only the Instrument Code is added; Description is not shown as it is not required.

9. GRN Inspection – Auto Sampling and Sampling Fixes

Location: You can access GRN Inspection under GRN → Operations

Details:

  • Auto Sampling: The inspection mode is now selected automatically. Sampling is auto-selected when the selected part has all of the following — at least one part, a Control Plan, a Process, a Control Item and a Sampling Plan; otherwise the screen defaults to Quantity mode.
  • The Sampling option is disabled ("Sampling not available for this inward") when no line item is sampling-eligible, and switching from auto-selected Sampling to Quantity now asks for confirmation first.
  • Draft handling: A saved draft no longer counts as already-inspected quantity — only Approved / Rejected inspections hold quantity against the inward, so a fully-drafted line correctly reopens in Sampling mode.
  • Serial allocation & partial inspection (Returnable DC In): Serial marking is the single source of truth on serial-tracked lines (quantity boxes are read-only there); non-serial inward lines remain editable; new inspections start line quantities at zero; and Quantity mode supports inspecting part of a line now and the rest later.

10. Supplier Search – Type Filter

Location: You can access Supplier under Purchase → Masters

Details:

  • Added a Type filter to the Supplier search so suppliers can be filtered by their type.
  • The results table now includes a Type column, the table Search box matches the Type column, and the Export as Excel output includes the Type column.

11. Material Planning – One Document per Requirement

Location: You can access Material Planning under Purchase → Operations

Details:

  • In Stock Details, a requirement can now result in exactly one document — either a Purchase Order or a Purchase Request.
  • Once a Purchase Order is raised, the Raise Purchase Request action is locked (and vice versa), preventing duplicate PO/PR creation for the same requirement.
  • The locked buttons are disabled and show a warning if clicked; they are also briefly locked while a raise request is in progress to prevent double-clicks.

Overall Application enhancement:

  • We have improved both backend and frontend components to enhance the application's speed, stability, and overall performance.
  • The application submission process has been optimized to ensure a smoother and faster user experience.
