v26.18

We are pleased to share the latest updates and enhancements introduced in Version 26.18. Below are the key features and improvements, along with their respective locations for easy reference.

New Features

Enhancements

1. Line Inspection Production / Stock Integration

Location: You can access Line Inspection, Control Task and Non Confirmation Review under Production & Quality → Operations. Movements can be seen in the Stock Ledger Report under Production & Quality → Reports.

Details:

Production flow

  • Each Line Inspection is saved as a new history entry in Control Task. Earlier entries are never overwritten.
  • The inspected process shows the latest effective status.
  • A serial moves to the next process only when its previous process is Approved or Conditionally Approved.
  • A Rejection, Defect, Rework or Hold also marks the later completed processes with the same status, with a note that it was raised by the Line Inspector.
  • Later processes cannot be inspected while an earlier process of the same serial is rejected, on rework or held. A clear message explains why.
  • The Rework and Pending Validation tabs list the serials currently in Rework or Hold.

Stock

  • Stock sits at one process, the furthest one completed.
  • A Rejection, Rework or Hold moves stock once, from that process into the inspected process's bucket for that status.
  • The Stock Ledger shows Line Inspection, Rework or NCR as the source of each movement.

Re-approval

  • Approving again (Line Inspection, NCR, Rework tab or Pending Validation) brings the later processes back to Approved and returns the stock.
  • When an NCR is approved, OP30, OP40 and OP50 all return to Approved. OP50 is the active process and holds the stock.
  • An NCR decision can be revised after approval, for example from Approved to Rework, and stock moves from the process that currently holds it.
  • Submitting the same NCR decision again does not create duplicate entries or stock movements.

NCR

  • A Machining Defect or Casting Defect raises the Non-Conformance Review automatically.
  • The NCR defect list shows each defect once, and Submit is available only after a valid defect is selected.

Screen

  • The search lists only serials that have completed a process. Part Status is always shown.
  • The inspect (pencil) button appears on the current record of a process. Older history entries are view only.
  • A result summary is shown after each submit: serial, process, previous and new status, stock position, later processes reverted, and NCR raised.
  • Approved cannot be selected when a measured value is outside the specification range.
  • Clear on-screen notifications guide required entries and confirmations.

Overall Application enhancement:

  • We have improved both backend and frontend components to enhance the application's speed, stability, and overall performance.
  • The application submission process has been optimized to ensure a smoother and faster user experience.
