Asset Sub Category

1.1 Add Asset Sub Category​

Add an Asset Sub Category – Step-by-Step:​

Step 1: Reach the Asset Sub Category Section
From the main side menu, click on "Maintenance", then go to "Masters", and finally choose "Asset Sub Category".
This will open the Asset Sub Category Search page.

Step 2: Start Adding Asset Sub Category
At the top-right corner of the page, click "Add SubCategory".

Step 3: Fill in Details
On the Add Asset Sub Category page, enter the following fields:

  • Asset Category [Mandatory] [Dropdown] β†’ Click to see a list of options, and select the required option from the list.

  • Sub Category [Mandatory] β†’ Enter the name of the new sub category.

  • Description [Mandatory] β†’ Provide a short description of the sub category.

  • Select Status [Mandatory] β†’ Choose whether the sub category is Active or Inactive.

Action Buttons:

  • Submit β†’ Save the record. After saving, the entry will be added and the screen will switch to edit mode.
  • Clear β†’ Reset all fields and start over. (Note: entered details will not be saved.)
  • Cancel β†’ Exit without saving and go back to the Asset Sub Category Search page.

1.2 Search Asset Sub Category​

Search an Asset Sub Category – Step-by-Step:​

Step 1: Start Searching
On the Asset Sub Category Search page, you can search in different ways:

  • Asset Category [Dropdown] β†’ Select the desired asset category.
  • Sub Category [Text field] β†’ Enter the sub category name.
  • Status [Dropdown] β†’ Choose Active/Inactive.

Step 2: View Results

  • After clicking Search, the system will display all matching records.
  • On the left side, above the View and Edit buttons, there is an Export Excel option. Using this option, the data can be generated in Excel format and then viewed and edited as needed.

1.3 Edit Asset Sub Category​

Edit an Asset Sub Category – Step-by-Step:​

Step 1: Locate the Record
Use the search option to find the asset sub category you want to edit.

Step 2: Start Editing

  • From the search results, click View/Edit next to the record.

Step 3: Update Details
On the Edit Asset Sub Category page:

  • Update fields like Category, Sub Category Name, Description, or Status as needed.

Step 4: Save Changes

  • Click Submit to save updates.
  • Or click Cancel to exit without saving.
