Country Details
COUNTRY DETAILS​
The Country Details screen (menu path: IT > Masters > Country Details) maintains the list of countries, and the states and cities under each country, that are used in address fields across DMeX.
To go back to the Country Details Search screen, click Country Details next to Welcome at the top-right corner of the page.
1.1 Add Country Details​
Add a Country - Step-by-Step
Step 1: Reach the Country Details:
- From the main side menu, click on "IT", then go to "Masters", and finally choose "Country Details". This will open the Country Details Search page.
Step 2: Adding a Country:
- Located at the top-right corner of the Country Details Search page, there is an Add Country button. Click this button to open the Create Country Details page. The Add Country button is shown only to admin users and to users with create access to Country.
Step 3: Fill in Details:
Prior to submitting Country Details, ensure that all mandatory (*) fields have been filled.
Create / Edit Country Details fields:

| Phone Code | Text (max 4 characters) | Yes | The international dialling code of the country. Only digits (and a decimal point) can be entered. |
| Status | Dropdown | Yes | Whether the country is active or inactive. Options come from the ACTIVE_STATUS values in Master Category. |
| Display Sequence | Number (max 6 digits) | No | Controls the order in which the country appears in country dropdowns. |
Country Details duplicate check: Country Name, Short Name and Phone Code must each be unique. If any of them already belongs to another country, the message "Duplicate entries for ..." is shown, followed by the duplicate field keys (name, sortname, phonecode), and the country is not saved.
Step 4: Save or Clear:
- Submit: Saves the country. The message "Country added successfully" (new) or "Country updated successfully" (edit) is shown, the page switches to Edit mode and the State and City sub-tabs appear -> Refer 1.3 (Edit Country Details). The Submit button is shown only to users with create access to Country and is disabled until all mandatory fields are filled.
- Clear: Erases the entered information. Cleared information is not saved.
- Cancel: Returns to the Country Details Search page without saving.
1.1.1 Country Details Sub-Tabs (State and City)​
After a country is saved (or when an existing country is opened), two sub-tabs appear below the Country Details form:
- State: Add and edit the states of the country.
- City: Add and edit the cities under each state of the country.
1.1.1.1 STATE Sub-Tab (Country Details)
Prior to submitting a State, ensure that all mandatory (*) fields have been filled.
State fields (State sub-tab of Country Details):

- List of States: Table with the columns S.No, View/Edit, State Name, State Code and Display Sequence. Click View/Edit to load a state into the form for editing.
1.1.1.2 CITY Sub-Tab (Country Details)
City fields (City sub-tab of Country Details):

- List of Cities: Table with the columns S.No, View/Edit, State Name and City Name. Click View/Edit to load a city into the form for editing.
1.2 Search Country Details​
Search a Country - Step-by-Step
Step 1: Start Searching:
On the Country Details Search page, you can search in different ways:
- By Country Name: Enter the country name (text field, optional) and click "Search".
- For All: Leave Country Name empty and click "Search" to see all countries.
- Clear: Resets the search field.
Step 2: See the Country Details Search Results:
- When countries are found, the message "<count> Countries Retrieved." is shown. When nothing matches, the message "No Country Retrieved for your Input" is shown.
- The results table shows these columns: S.No, View/Edit, Country Name, Short Name, Phone Code and Display Sequence.
- Search: A filter box above the results table filters the rows already shown.
- Export as Excel: Downloads the results as an Excel file. The button is shown only to users who have the Export Excel permission.
1.3 Edit Country Details​
Edit a Country - Step-by-Step
Step 1: Find the Country:
- On the Country Details Search page, click "Search" to find the country you want to edit.
Step 2: Open the Edit Country Details page:
- Click "View/Edit" next to that Country Name to open the Edit Country Details page.
Step 3: Update Info:
- The Edit Country Details page shows the existing details (Short Name, Country Name, Phone Code, Status, Display Sequence) and the State and City sub-tabs.
- Make your changes. The same field rules and duplicate check as in Add Country Details apply.
Step 4: Save Changes:
- After editing, review your changes and click "Submit" to save the updates.
