Bulk Upload

The Bulk Upload screen helps you upload multiple master records at once by using the system-generated Excel template.

1.1 Reach the Bulk Upload Screen​

From the main side menu, click on "Tooling", then go to "Masters", and finally choose "Bulk Upload". This will open the Bulk Upload screen.

1.2 Screen Overview​

Type​

The Type field is a searchable dropdown. On the Tooling → Master → Bulk Upload screen, it includes the following options:

  • Holder
  • Tool
  • Tool Details
  • Holder Details
  • Cutting Tool
  • Cutting Tool Details
  • Collet
  • Collet Details
  • Pull Stud
  • Pull Stud Details

Download Template​

After selecting a type, click Download Template to get the latest Excel file for that upload type.

Upload Area​

Click inside the upload box or drag and drop the completed .xlsx file. Only Excel files up to 3MB are allowed.

Validate & Upload​

Click Validate & Upload to validate the file and upload the records into the system.

Clear​

Click Clear to remove the selected file and restart the upload process.

1.3 Bulk Upload - Step-by-Step​

Step 1: Select the Upload Type​

Choose the required upload type from the Type dropdown. If needed, use the search box inside the dropdown to quickly find the required option.

Step 2: Download the Template​

Click Download Template and save the Excel file to your computer.

Step 3: Update the Template​

Open the downloaded file and enter the required data in the provided columns.

  • Fill all mandatory fields.
  • Do not change the column headers or template structure.
  • Remove blank rows before saving the file.

Step 4: Upload the File​

Drag and drop the completed file into the upload area, or click the upload area and browse for the file.

Step 5: Validate and Upload​

Click Validate & Upload.

  • If validation fails, the system displays the errors.
  • Correct the data in the Excel file and upload it again.
  • If validation succeeds, the records are uploaded successfully.

Step 6: Clear if Required​

Use Clear if you want to remove the selected file and upload a different file.

note
  • Always use the downloaded template for the selected type.
  • Only .xlsx files are supported.
  • Maximum allowed file size is 3MB.
  • Upload clean data without duplicates to avoid validation errors.
  • If a required value is missing from a dropdown, update the related master setup first and then retry the upload.
