1.1 Add Packing​

Add Packing - Step-by-Step

Step 1: Reach the Packing Section

  • From the main side menu, click on "Packing", then go to "Masters", and finally choose "Packing". This will open the Packing Search page.

Step 2: Adding Packing

  • Located at the top-right corner of the Packing Search page, there is an "Add Packing" button. Simply click on this button to proceed.

Step 3: Fill in Details

  • Packing Type: [Radio Button] (Mandatory) Select the required packing type. Choose Single-Part Boxes to create boxes containing a single part.

  • Part: [Dropdown] (Mandatory) Select the part to be packed.

  • Package Map: [Dropdown] (Mandatory) Select the required Package Map. The Package Map records created in the Packaging Master will be available for selection.

  • Max Quantity: [Numeric Field] Enter the maximum quantity per package.

note

If the selected Package Map is mapped in the Part X Packaging Map tab, the Max Quantity is automatically fetched from the configured Max Qty Per Package and cannot be modified. If the Package Map is not mapped, you can enter the Max Quantity manually.

  • Total Qty: [Numeric Field] (Mandatory) Enter the total quantity to be packed.

  • Box Required: [Numeric Field] (Read-only) Displays the number of boxes required based on the selected Package Map and the entered quantity.

  • Location: [Text Field] (Optional) Enter the storage or packing location.

  • Package Date: [Date Field] Displays the current package date.

  • Quality Documents Inside the Box: [Checkbox] Select this option if the required quality documents are placed inside the package.

  • Create Box: [Button] Click Create Box to generate the packing box.

  • Clear: [Button] Click Clear to reset all the entered values.

List of Created Box(es)​

After clicking Create Box, the created box(es) will be displayed in this section.

The following details are shown for each created box:

  • Box No: Displays the generated box number.
  • Package Map Name: Displays the selected Package Map.
  • Pkg Type: Displays the package type configured in the selected Package Map.
  • Total Qty: Displays the packed quantity and the maximum quantity allowed per box.
  • Net Weight: Displays the net weight of the package.
  • Gross Weight: Displays the gross weight of the package.
  • Dimensions (L × B × H): Displays the package dimensions.
  • Dimension Unit: Displays the unit of measurement for the package dimensions.
  • Add More Quantity: Click the + icon to add more quantity to the selected box, if applicable.
  • Remove: Click the Delete icon to remove the created box or the corresponding part entry.

Boxes added in the List of Created Box(es) are saved only after clicking the Submit button. If you leave the page without submitting, the created boxes will not be saved.

The packing details created and saved in this screen will be reflected in the Package Master section of the corresponding Invoice screen.

1.2 Search Packing​

Search Packing - Step-by-Step

Step 1: Start Searching

On the Packing search page, you can search for existing packing records using the available filters.

Step 2: Search Packing

Use the search filters to find the required packing records.

  • Package: [Dropdown] (Optional) Select the package to filter the search results.

  • Part: [Dropdown] (Optional) Select the part to filter the search results.

  • From Date: [Date Field] (Mandatory) Select the start date for the search.

  • To Date: [Date Field] (Mandatory) Select the end date for the search.

  • Search: [Button] Click Search to display the packing records based on the selected search criteria.

  • Clear: [Button] Click Clear to reset all the search filters.

Results

The search results display the following information for each packing record:

  • Generate

  • S.No

  • View/Edit

  • Package No

  • Part

  • Package Type

  • Total Qty

  • Net Weight

  • Gross Weight

  • Weight Unit

  • Length

  • Width

  • Height

  • Dimension Unit

  • Location

  • Package Date

  • View: Click the View icon to view the packing details.

  • Edit: Click the Edit icon to modify the packing details.

  • Generate: Select one or more packing records and click Generate Packing Master to generate the Packing Master.

  • Export as Excel: Click Export as Excel to download the displayed packing records in Excel format.

  • Search (Grid): Use the search box above the results grid to search within the displayed records.

Select one or more packing records using the Generate checkbox before clicking Generate Packing Master.

1.3 Edit Packing​

Edit Packing - Step-by-Step

Step 1: Find the Packing Record

Navigate to the Packing search screen.

Step 2: Search the Packing Record

Use the available search filters to locate the packing record you want to edit.

Step 3: Start Editing

After searching, the packing records will be displayed.

  • Click the Edit icon corresponding to the packing record you want to modify.
  • The Edit Packing page will be displayed with the existing details.

Step 4: Update the Details

Make the required updates.

note

The existing packed quantity cannot be edited. Only new parts or additional quantities can be added to the selected box. After making the changes, click Submit to save the updated packing details.

Step 5: Save the Changes

  • Review the updated details.
  • Click Submit to save the changes.
