Production Data Calculation Report​

1.1 Shift Closed with Remaining Idle Time​

Scenario Description​

An operator completes production during the shift but does not account for the remaining shift duration before closing the shift (or the shift gets auto-closed). In such cases, the remaining time must be recorded either as Idle Time or the part must remain in In Progress status if production is not yet completed.

Operator Action​

Since 240 minutes (4 hours) of the shift duration is not accounted for:

  • The operator must add one or more Idle Time entries totaling 240 minutes with the appropriate Reason and Remarks.
  • The shift can be closed only after the remaining idle time has been accounted for.

1.2 Auto Shift Close Without Idle Time Entry​

Scenario Description​

If the operator does not manually close the shift before the scheduled shift end time, the system automatically closes the shift. During auto shift closure, the system does not automatically create Idle Time entries or In Progress records for the remaining shift duration.

The remaining 240 minutes (4 hours) are not automatically converted into Idle Time when the shift is auto-closed. The operator must manually record the remaining idle time before closing the shift.


1.3 Machine Activity Affects Machine-wise OEE Report​

Scenario Description​

The Machine-wise OEE report is generated based on all machine activities recorded during the selected shift. Before generating the report, ensure that all machine activities have been completed and recorded correctly in the system.

The following activities must be verified:

  • Shift Login Time – Ensure the operator has logged in at the start of the shift.
  • Shift Logout Time – Ensure the shift has been closed correctly.
  • Production Entry – Verify that all production transactions are completed.
  • Control Task Entries – Ensure all Control Task activities are completed and updated.
  • Part In Progress – Verify that any part remaining in progress has been completed or updated before shift closure.
  • Scheduled Idle Time – Ensure all planned idle time entries have been recorded.
  • Unscheduled Idle Time – Verify that all unplanned machine stoppages have been recorded with the appropriate reason.
  • Maintenance Time – Ensure maintenance activities are recorded, if applicable.
  • Not Capture Time – Verify that there are no pending machine activities that remain uncaptured.

If any of the above activities are left incomplete or are not recorded, the Machine-wise OEE report may display incorrect values for Available Time, Production Time, Idle Time, Not Capture, and OEE (%).

Result​

Since the Machine Breakdown was not recorded:

  • Unscheduled Idle Time will not be calculated correctly.
  • Available Time and Production Time may not match the actual machine activity.
  • Not Capture duration may increase.
  • OEE (%) will not represent the actual machine performance.
  • When viewing a 24-hour report, the combined values may differ from the individual shift reports.

User Action​

Before generating the Machine-wise OEE report, ensure that:

  • All production entries are completed.
  • All Control Task entries are completed.
  • Shift Login and Shift Logout are recorded correctly.
  • All Scheduled and Unscheduled Idle Time entries are recorded.
  • Part In Progress transactions are completed or updated correctly.
  • Maintenance activities are recorded.
  • There are no pending Not Capture records.
