P and L​

Prerequisites

Before creating a P & L, ensure that all relevant details have been entered or updated.
Updating/adding screens like P & L masters is crucial for maintaining accurate and effective processes.

Double-checking these details before adding a P & L:

  • Minimizes errors
  • Reduces chances of miscommunication
  • Ensures smooth and efficient P & L
  • Helps maintain accurate records for future reference and reporting

1.1 Add a P & L​

Add a P & L Step-by-Step:

Step 1: Reach the P & L Section From the main Side menu:

  • Click on "Accounts" → "Operations" → "P & L"

Alternatively:

  • Click on "Management" → "Operations" → "P & L"

This will open the P & L Search page.

Step 2: Adding a P & L

Click the "Add P & L" button on the top right of the P & L Search page.

Step 3: Fill in Details

  • Select P & L Head: [Dropdown] (Mandatory)
    Choose from the P & L masters.
  • Amount: [Number Field] (Mandatory)
    Enter the amount for the selected head.
  • From Dates: [Date Field] (Mandatory)
    Starting date for the entry.
  • To Dates: [Date Field] (Mandatory)
    Ending date for the entry.
  • Remarks: [Text Field] (Optional)
    Add any general comments or notes.

Options:

  • Click "Cancel" to return to the P & L Search page.
  • Click "Clear" to erase all data and start over (this action cannot be undone).
  • Click "Submit" to save the entry.

Submission of P & L

Once submitted:

  • The entry will be added
  • The screen transitions to edit mode

1.2 Search P & L​

Search a P & L - Step-by-Step:

Step 1: Start Searching

You can search using the following filters:

  • Select P & L Head
  • From Date
  • To Date

Click the "Search" button.

Step 2: See the Results

After searching, results will show:

  • Matching Heads, Amount, From Date, To Date
  • Option to View/Edit
    (Refer 1.3)

You can also click "Export as Excel" to download the results.

1.3 Edit P & L​

Edit a P & L - Step-by-Step

Step 1: Find P & L Use the search as described above.

Step 2: Start Searching Enter the criteria to locate the entry you want to edit.

Step 3: Edit Details Once results appear, click "View/Edit" next to the desired entry.

Step 4: Update Info
You'll be taken to the Edit P & L page with existing details shown.

Step 5: Edit P & L Page Change any required fields.

Step 6: Submit/Cancel

  • Click "Submit" to save changes.
  • Click "Cancel" to discard.
