Capacity Planning​

Prerequisites​

Before generating a Planning Report, ensure the following details are available:

  • Machine Master Data
  • Control Plan & Part Details
  • Planned Production Schedules
  • Start Date & Time

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records ensures an error-free and reliable Planning Report.


1.1 Add Capacity Planning​

Step-by-Step Guide​

Step 1: Reach the Capacity Planning Section​

Navigate through the side menu:

  • Production & Quality β†’ Masters β†’ Capacity Planning

This opens the Capacity Planning page.

Step 2: Adding Capacity Planning​

On the top right of the Capacity Planning Search page, you'll see an "Add Capacity Planning" button. Click this button.

Step 3: Fill in details​

Upon clicking the β€˜Add Capacity Planning button, the Create Capacity Plan page will open. Complete the following fields:

  • Date Range [Madatory]: Click the date range field and select the absolute date range, start time and end time then click the Apply time range button.

  • Machine Grouping [Optional]: Select Machine Grouping from the Dropdown.

  • Machine [Madatory]: Select the machines from the dropdown list. You can choose multiple machines.

Note: If a machine grouping is selected, only machines from that group will be displayed; otherwise, all machines can be selected.

After entering the above details, the following fields will be displayed in a table format:

S.NOSerial number for easy reference of each machine entry.
Machine NameThe specific name or ID of the machine being monitored.
Machine Availability (%)Availability of the machine expressed as a percentage of total planned production time.
Machine Availability (in mins) – HoursNumber of hours the machine was available for operation.
Machine Availability (in mins) – MinutesAdditional minutes the machine was available for operation.
Calculated AvailabilityOnce the value is entered, the system will automatically calculate and show the Calculated Availability.
Overall AvailabilityIf you enter the Overall Availability, the same availability value will be applied to all machines.

Note: Either Machine Availability (%) or Machine Availability (in mins) should be selected. If overall availability is entered, it will be applied to all machines.


1.2.2 Schedule Restriction​

Fill in the necessary fields:

  • Restriction Category (Mandatory): Select the machine from the dropdown.
  • Restriction Type (Mandatory): Select the restriction type from the dropdown.
  • Date Range (Mandatory): Click the date range field and select the absolute date range, start time and end time then click the Apply time range button.

Click Add to apply the restriction or Clear to reset the fields.

  • The added Schedule Restriction will be displayed below. If required, you can edit or delete the part details you have added.

1.2.3 Part Details​

Fill in the necessary fields:

  • Part Name – Control Plan (Mandatory): Select the Control Plan from the dropdown.
  • Machining Process (Mandatory): Select the process from the dropdown.
  • Production Schedule (Mandatory): Enter the required quantity.
  • Machine (Optional): Select machine from the dropdown.

Click Add to save the details or Clear to reset the fields.

  • The added part details will be displayed below. If required, you can edit or delete the part details you have added.
  • Finally, click Generate Planning Report to generate the report or Cancel to exit without generating.

1.2 Search Capacity Planning​

Search a Capacity Planning - Step-by-Step​

Step 1: Start Searching​

On the Capacity Planning Search page, you can filter by:

  • Start Date and Time [Mandatory] : Select the start date and Time.
  • End Date and Time [Mandatory]:Select the End Date and Time.

Step 2: See the Results​

Click Search to display results.

  • Based on the Start Date and Time and End Date and Time the Matching results will shown.

Step 3: Export as Excel​

  • Click the Export as Excel button to download the displayed search results in Excel format.

1.3 Edit a Capacity Planning​

Edit a Capacity Planning - Step-by-Step​

Step 1: Edit Details​

  • After searching, you'll see the Capacity Planning you want to edit.
  • Click "View/Edit" next to reach the Edit Capacity Planning page.

Step 2: Update Info​

  • On the Edit Capacity Planning page, you'll see existing details.

Step 3: Edit Capacity Planning​

  • On the Edit Capacity Planning page, you'll find the existing details of the Capacity planning you're editing.
  • Change the details Which you want to update in Capacity Planning.
